PACK OF 10 TYVEK FABRIC A4 SHEETS – 43 gsm. Tyvek is used extensively in crafts & textiles and in jewellery for making beads. This is Tyvek fabric, different to the paper in that it is softer to the feel. Otherwise if acts like the paper and is still hard when heated. It is a synthetic fabric which will shrink and bubble when heated to give amazing effects to your work. Also used for creating unusual background effects and toppers for cards. Tyvek is well know whereas I am frequently asked about Lutradur and the difference between the 2. When heated Tyvek will go ‘bubbly’ whilst Lutradur will go more ‘holey’. Tyvek is almost impossible to stitch through when heated whereas you can stitch through Lutradur. You can see in the extra pphotos above the difference when they are both painted and heated. The Canvas combines Tyvek (the gridwork) and Lutradur together with other items mounted on a boxed canvas.
